Graphics Card

This thread is mainly for @1UP but some of you may be able to help out too.
What would you recommend for a graphics card? Currently I am using an old that is really starting to struggle now.
I am looking at an R9 290 or something in that range.Is AMD good to go for or is NVIDIA the best at the moment? If NVidia then what model would you suggest?

290 is supposed to be a decent card. But im not an AMD person. Had nothing but issues when anything they make. For Nvidia I’d say a GTX 770. But what it really comes down to is what is your preference in brands and what you are willing to spend.

290 is £300+ I have never had an nvidia card and never had issues with AMD. I’ll compare some prices.

I love my GTX 770 so far, just went with the EVGA one, 2GB RAM.

My mate just bought a 280x and he said its amazing. I might spend the extra £50 and get a 290x.
