I have realised that I’m in way over my head with all this node.js, jQuery and JavaScript. With me not programming for a while now I need a refresh and if we are going to keep NodeBB then it might as well be a refresh in JavaScript and Git.

Does anyone know of any decent places to get some practice or of any books I can take a look at?
Most of you know I can code the basics so anything that is a bit more advanced than a basic level would be good. I don’t need to know how to declare variables again :P

So yeah, any websites, books, youtube vids that you know of that would help would be greatly appreciated.

        The MDN is useful: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/

Check out the sidebar on r/LearnJavascript. Do a search for books in that subreddit as well as r/Javascript; see what people often recommend.

http://www.codecademy.com/ is pretty good, they have several languages with many chapters and detailed instructions.
