I went to DC today after work to take some nice pictures for you guys :)
I really do love being able to just go wander around the National Mall. There are some cool things to there. Being that I went fairly late on a Thursday in October, there weren’t too many people out. For whatever reason, there was like no one at the WWII memorial. It was great!
Without further ado, pictures!
First up is the white house, for @Schamper
Front + security guard. Last time I was here was right after the guy jumped the fence and got inside, so they weren’t letting anyone get close. You had to stand back across the street, there were cops with hands on guns everywhere. 2-3 people on the roof. It was nice to be able to get close again.
From the back.You can stick your hands through the fence to get a good picture of the back lawn.
So yeah. I practically met Obama.
This is the WWII memorial. Probably one of my favorite monuments. Usually there are people everywhere, so I used this chance to take a nice shot mostly people free. Behind me is a similar arch for the Pacific.
My signature shot. I swear I’ve taken this picture like 8 times. But I still like it. I’m a big fan of the way the Washington Monument reflects in the reflecting pool. You only get the effect at night and on REALLY windless days though.About a mile on the other side of the Washinton Monument is the Capitol (it’s under construction right now and looks ugly so I didn’t bother with pictures). Lincoln of course. It’s really cool at night. You can see Lincoln from the the WWII memorial at least. You might be able to sort of make him out from the Washington Monument.Basically I met 2 presidents tonight. NBD.

It’s a day late but her it is.
Yesterday I didn’t get up as early as I wanted but it was earlier than I usually do on a day off. I got up and actually had some breakfast, I can’t remember the last time I actually ate breakfast but I want to start doing it everyday.
After that I took one of my dogs for a walk, they don’t walked as often as they should and I don’t do as much exercise so I thought I would kill two birds with one stone and stark walking a different dog each day. We have 6 dogs so it’s good enough for a weeks worth of walking.Took my mum to Tesco to get some shopping and I bought some lunch; soup with noodles.
I then installed NodeBB on my Windows PC so I can start to develop this plugin I have been wanting to create for a while. I also installed Sublime Text 3 and set it up for javascript development. I would love to have my old Uni email address so I can take advantage of the free Webstorm IDE.
Then I went out on the piss and today I have been hungover so I haven’t really done anything productive today, although I did take another dog for a walk.

Today I woke up at 5pm. Got fed and washed and all that shit, and then started working. Friends are all out or busy until about 10pm tonight, and then I’ll go play some xbox with them. Then when they all go to bed at normal times, I’ll get back to work until I’m tired enough to be able to sleep.

Today, I finally got myself a nice desk. Nice and sleek.
I also made my image resizing plugin.
Remember how awful the image sizes were in that battery stats thread?
Well, I fixed that up.
syntax:
size can either be:
@100x200- exact size
@100x@x200- exact for one dimesion, calculate the other to preserve the aspect ratio
@50%- percentage
@0.5- scalar multiplier (0.5 times the size)Enjoy!

I have had a slow puncture on my car for a few weeks now. Instead of getting it fixed or a new tyre i have just been pumping air in to it. Kinda lazy if you ask me. So today i swapped it over for my spare. Didnt take too long but it felt like an achievement. My only issue now is that I have 3 black wheels and one silver :(
