@Jellyforme is getting his VW Gold today and I thought he may want to show it off a bit.
So here it is, BitBangers very own “Show us your pimped out whip” thread.I’ll start.
First car was a 1.1 Peugeot 106. UK is terrible for insurance when you are young. Car was only worth £500 and i payed way over 1k to insure it. I havent even hit under £500 yet and I’ve been driving for nearly 7 years. But anyway, here’s what she looked like:
I dont really have any pictures of the “before i started pissing around” with the car. These pictures show some progress of my putting a 106 GTI body kit on the standard 106. Also shows my shitty rattle can paint jobs.
Second car was the GTI model of the Peugeot 106 which is a 1.6 engine. They are basically double the power of the 1.1 model, 60 BHP to around 120 BHP.
This is the first time I ever owned 2 cars, felt pretty good man.
Sadly the little babe got killed by a lorry in 2013
I still consider buying another 106 GTI. They are not the fastest cars in the world and they me be French but they are still a hell of a lot of fun to drive. Induction kit, decat, pugsport exhaust and lowering it makes a hell of a lot of difference. Stuck to the roads like it was on rails.
3rd car i decided to go jap. First soft top convertible. 1.6 jap import MX5.
I didnt really mess around with this one too much, just put some cheap coilovers on it. Went pretty low.
This one had a leaky roof and was pissing me off. Then some guy reversed into it at work and the insurance company wrote it off (thankfully).
Next up is my Seat Leon Cupra R. 1.8 Turbo, 210 BHP
I have never owned anything this powerful before. I loved the first drive home in it. When the turbo kicks in and you get pushed back into your seat, best feeling in the world.
I wanted to start modifying the Leon but as i used it as my daily I couldnt really take it off the rode for long periods of time. Needed it for travelling with work. I decided to buy another MX5. It wont matter if its off the road for a few days as i wont need to drive it.
When bought the car it decided to break down as soon as i got it home. Alternator belt snapped. The guy i bought it off was nice enough to give me a belt and £20 just in case it was the wrong belt. Fixed it within an hour or two. Was really easy.
Wooden steering wheel yo!
First mod and only mod so far is a stainless steel exhaust. 2 hours to fit as it was a bit of a bitch, 25 year old nuts are not the best to take off.
ooooo Shiny.
That’s it for me currently.

I don’t have a car but this is the closest thing I have :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Schamper is a tiny little man who can fly wherever he wants to go on his tiny drone copter.
Scuzz how did the lorry fuck up the GTI, there’s dents to the back and side?

Here’s my ride:
-
@President_Choob I was coming off the M6 onto the M54. I was in the slow lane, Lorry was in the fast lane (M54 is dual carriageway). Lorry decided to come into my lane. Hit me on the drivers side door, spun me in front and pushed me down the road a bit. I then spun off the lorry and hit the central reservation and then bounced back into the hard shoulder.
The car put up a hell of a fight though.

Tube crew report in.
There is however have a nice 2012 Mitsubishi Evo 10 RS parked in my drive, if only it were mine. I’ll get some pictures tomorrow.
